San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Round-Up

Play Arts Kai Batman

Square Enix’s new Batman figure is more “bat” (or “bahamut”) than “man.”

All is quiet at Push to Smart as we work on our next episode/day jobs, but not so for the rest of the internet! While neither of us were able to attend last weekend’s Comic-Con in San Diego, there were some headlines that trickled down to pique our curiosity.

For starters, Bioware is teasing a possible horror game? A cryptic trailer and official site are making the rounds at YOUVE-BEEN-CHOSEN.COM. (via Bloody Disgusting)

Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts’ Tetsuya Nomura redesigned Batman for Square Enix’s Play Arts Kai figure line. It was weird, but surprisingly lacking in zippers. (via Gamespot)

Telltale Games confirmed a third season for The Walking DeadWe don’t know where this could possibly going, but we know we’ll be there for it. We’ll be posting our thoughts on season 2, episode 4 later in the week! (via Polygon)

Con-goers got their first look at the Warcraft film adaptation that just wrapped filming. The film itself isn’t out until 2016. (via io9)

Ubisoft brought on Rob Zombie and Tony Moore to create a gory animated short for Assassin’s Creed Unity that continues the E3 trailer’s weird fetishization of decapitation. Everything ok over there, Ubisoft?  (via Polygon).

After recently learning that The Nostromo‘s crew would reprise their roles for Alien Isolation, we now know that Serenity‘s crew will also return for Firefly Online (via Gamespot).

Speaking of Alien, we got our first look at Halo: Nightfall, the Ridley Scott-produced Halo series. (via Polygon)

The Last of Us movie adaptation is still a thing and Game of Thrones‘ Maisie Williams is in talks to play Ellie. Yes, please. (via Polygon)

What’d we miss? We’ll have a new Walking Dead Water Cooler out later in the week before we finish our discussion of the Bechdel Test next week. Is there any news we should check out in the meantime?
